Why We Give
The stewardship of our finances is a tremendous though often overlooked area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim the gospel. Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. We trust in Him and His provision instead of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.
Online Giving and Recurring GiftsYou can give both one time and recurring gifts through online giving. We accept debit, credit card, and electronic check gifts. However, we strongly advise wise use of credit cards and encourage our donors to live debt free lives. Giving with ACH using your bank account also reduces how much our church is charged for online giving services.

Text-to-GiveSetting up text-to-give is easy. While you are at our church "Text any dollar amount to 84321 to give." You'll then follow a quick, self-guided setup process to tie your mobile phone to your church, your donor account, and a payment source. After that, donating is as easy as sending a text.

Financial Policies
People matter most.
As a church, people are most important to us, not their money. We don’t view things through a lens of donor bases, giving units or pet projects for those with money. We think it’s important for everyone to feel welcome, whether or not you ever give financially toward our cause.
We prefer to see it as what we give out, not what we take in.Those who generously contribute to The Lakes Assembly know that it is to benefit the people who walk in the doors and the community where we live. We also believe in supporting missions nationally and around the world. For more on who we support check out our missions page.

Life isn't about money, but it's necessary in society. We wish we lived in a utopian society where we could get free use of facilities and unlimited free data packages on cell phones. But the reality is that we have budgeted items that need to be funded to keep things moving along. We’re doing our best to work with a lean budget that reflects what we feel is important to God.

We are very thankful for our generous supporters who believe in our cause.
Our funding overwhelmingly comes from individuals who believe that what God is doing through The Lakes Assembly is worth investing in. We don’t have any rich uncles, corporate sponsors, or tycoons bent on world domination bankrolling us. We’re not crazy about volunteers wearing corporate logos or having website sponsors, but we are open to rich uncles (as long as they're not bent on world domination).
